Keane duo charity busk in Hastings Christmas Eve

Singer Tom Chaplin and keyboard player, songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley from Keane are busking for local Hastings based charity, Surviving Christmas, in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, Hastings, on Christmas Eve at 13:00.

They'll only be there for a short while so come along, give your support and help them raise as much money as possible to help vulnerable people and families in the Hastings & Rother area at Christmas.

Alison Freelander, Chair of Surviving Christmas, said:

' Surviving Christmas is a charity local to Hastings & Rother run by, and for, the community to give assistance to those in need and hope for those in despair. We are seeing an increasing number of referrals which means the charity needs more volunteers throughout the year, along with food, clothing and monetary donations.

We're extremely grateful to Tim Rice-Oxley and Tom Chaplin from Keane for giving up their time so generously and helping to raise this very local charity's profile in this way. Also many thanks to Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, BB-Scene & Links Screens for providing the staging and advertising free of charge and to Ian Dobson for PA provision and sound checks.'

Donations for Surviving Christmas are welcomed through http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/donate/donate_b.asp?charityid=3245
